Architect and urban planner Edward McGrath is the Town Architect of Porta Norte. He has been involved in the project since its inception and has participated in numerous charrettes and designs. He studied architecture at the University of Notre Dame. Throughout his career, he has worked with urban planners Andrés Duany (designer of the Porta Norte Master Plan), Stefanos Polyzoides, and the firm Gehl People.

In this second episode, we discuss traditional architecture and urban planning, the success of cities, courtyard housing, and the role of the town architect.
