This roadway was designed with pedestrians and cyclists, public transportation, and freight movement in mind. Spanning nine kilometers in length and over 80 meters in width, this roadway features two lanes per side with shoulders, center medians, bus bays, and two-meter-wide sidewalks.

Vía Panamá Norte will not be interrupted by any intersections. To access it from the Golf Club, a bridge was built that will take you directly to Porta Norte. From the Transístmica, you’ll have two horseshoe-shaped bridges that will allow you to enter and exit this road without interruptions. From the inside, it has eight U-turns with a WB-20 turning radius (for articulated trucks and metro buses).

Its imposing central islands were designed to accommodate the tracks of Metro Line 8. Providing residents of North Panama with a direct connection to the Panama Metro’s master network.
The road is intersected by the Cinta Norteña (North Zone Master Plan for Recreational, Social, and Sports Areas in Panama), adding 3.5 kilometers of bike paths to the eight kilometers of sidewalks along the road.
The sum of all these elements makes the Vía Panamá Norte an example of “new road infrastructure with a social focus.” Thousands of cars, families, and people pass daily along the Vía Panamá Norte: All residents of Panamá Norte who work in the south and east of the capital; trucks transporting cargo from air logistics centers, such as Tocumen Airport, and land-based centers, such as Parque Sur, to the Colón Free Zone and other points on the Atlantic coast; and visitors to the tourist areas in the north of the city. Just to name a few.
Residents, visitors, and developers of Phase 1 of Porta Norte will have immediate access to this road. Especially those who build in Contractors Hills, the first lot in Porta Norte from the Golf Club.
